The Texas heat was no match for our North American Fire Protection team when they were working on site at Saxum Real Estate in Burleson, Texas. We worked closely with our contractor to provide a custom designed fire protection system that protected the people and property in two buildings totaling over 440,000 square feet of cold storage facility in Burleson, Texas.
This conventional cold storage project presented us with an opportunity to outfit two separate buildings and freezer spaces totaling:
· 18 double interlock Quell K-34 preaction systems with trim, control valves and accessories including the QSR electronic accelerator and preaction release panels
· Three dry pipe systems to protect the refrigerated truck docks
· Four wet pipe systems to protect the office and maintenance
· Preaction systems equipped with ProtectoWire linear heat detection
· Over 4,800 sprinkler heads including Tyco Ultra K-34 uprights, K 8.0 brass uprights and semi-recessed white pendants
· Two 2,500 gpm diesel driven fire pumps and fire pump house
This project is another example of North American Fire Protection’s focus on design, fabrication and installation of custom fire protections systems, building lasting relationships and leaving contractors and customers satisfied with a job well done.
